First Minister’s Questions (FMQs) is the Senedd’s weekly opportunity for Members to question the First Minister on matters within his responsibilities. Most questions are submitted at least three working days in advance and selected through a ballot. Opposition leaders may also ask questions without notice.

Question: Andrew RT Davies MS asks for an update on the Welsh Government's position on the Global Centre of Rail Excellence (GCRE).
Information: You can read more about the project on the GCRE website. The previous Welsh Government provided an update on this at the end of last year, and the GCRE has recently written to the Senedd’s Economy, Energy and Connectivity Committee to set out the latest position.
Question: Paul Davies MS asks about the Welsh Government's healthcare priorities for Ceredigion Penfro for the next twelve months.
Information: In June, the Cabinet Minister for Health and Care, Mabon ap Gwynfor MS, set out the Welsh Government’s priorities for health and care. We regularly publish articles on healthcare on our website.
Question: Anthony Slaughter MS asks how Welsh Government is preparing for adverse and extreme weather events this winter.
Information: Our recent articles have considered extreme heat, wildfires and drought. Last year, we published links to useful information to help Senedd Members and their staff support constituents before, during and after a flood.
Question: Alun Cox MS is asking for an update on progress relating to the development of a new national food strategy.
Information: In July, the Welsh Government announced that it would develop a new food strategy. It recently announced membership of the Expert Working Group to help with its development.
Question: Adrian Mason MS asks how the Welsh Government is supporting older people with the cost of living.
Information: The Welsh Government has stated it wants to make benefits simpler and fairer for older people. It has also published a collection of information and sources of support in relation to the cost of living.
Question: Marc Jones MS is asking what consideration the Welsh Government has given to ensuring that the costs of remediating illegally dumped waste are paid by the people responsible, rather than by taxpayers.
