First Minister’s Questions (FMQs) is the Senedd’s weekly opportunity for Members to question the First Minister on matters within his responsibilities. Most questions are submitted at least three working days in advance and selected through a ballot. Opposition leaders may also ask questions without notice.

Question: Adrian Mason MS asks how the Welsh Government will support north Wales's economic ties with north-west England.

Information: Transport for Wales’ Network North Wales project includes an ambition for more frequent services and better connectivity between North Wales and London, Merseyside, Cheshire and the North of England.

Question: Lindsay Whittle MS is asking about measures to ensure renewable energy projects will have a positive impact on local communities.

Information: Plaid Cymru’s manifesto spoke of “ensuring that people and communities have greater ownership over and see more of the benefits from renewables in Wales”.


Question: Kiera Marshall MS asks how the Welsh Government is combatting misinformation and disinformation about asylum seekers, refugees and migrants.

Information: In 2025, the Sixth Senedd’s Equality and Social Justice Committee published it's report Co-operation over Conflict: Wales must Act, which looked into this issue and called for an Expert Group to be set up to look at social cohesion in Wales. The group's findings can be found here.


Question: Elwyn Vaughan MS asks whether the First Minister will have discussions with the UK Government about undergrounding energy infrastructure it is responsible for in Wales.
