On Tuesday 6 December, Members of the Senedd will debate and vote on amendments tabled during Stage 3 of the Environmental Protection (Single-use Plastic Products)(Wales) Bill’s journey through the Senedd’s legislative process.
We have produced a summary of the changes made to the Bill at Stage 2, which took place in the Climate Change, Environment and Infrastructure Committee on 9 November 2022.
The Bill will make it an offence for a person to supply or offer to supply (including for free) certain commonly littered and unnecessary single-use plastic products listed in the schedule in the Bill, to a consumer in Wales.
The Bill and Explanatory Memorandum are published on the Senedd website. Our Bill Summary, published on the Bill’s introduction, explains what the Bill does and how it came about.
You can watch the proceedings for the Stage 3 debate live on Senedd.TV on 6 December.
