Student financial support can help with both tuition fee costs and living costs.
Student Finance Wales assesses your eligibility for funding, and the Student Loans Company make payments through grants or loans to you (for living costs) or to your provider (for tuition fees).

Financial support for undergraduate students in higher education 2026/27: A guide for constituents

Unlike undergraduate financial support, where the support is split between help with your tuition and help with your living costs, as a Masters or Doctoral student you’ll receive one sum of money and you choose how to use it.

There are different types of financial support students might be eligible for on full- or part-time Further Education (FE) courses in Wales. FE is often for those aged 16-18, although adults can study too; it is usually delivered through local colleges and school sixth forms.
