Coronavirus restrictions are easing, and more people might be thinking about booking a holiday abroad or travelling for another reason. Senedd Members may be getting enquiries from constituents, asking for clarification on the rules for international travel.

A key point is that the rules for outbound travel will be different from the requirements for inbound travel. Either or both may change at short notice. Different countries may have different restrictions in place, in relation to proof of vaccination, testing, quarantine, and reason for entry. Travellers must consult the entry requirements for the country they plan to visit (and any country they may be passing through). Carriers may also have their own requirements for negative tests for example to allow boarding.
